Supporting Older Adults Who Experience Delusions and Hallucinations
It can be scary when a loved one begins showing unexpected signs of mental illness in older age. This is especially true when those symptoms are not well understood, as might be the case with delusions and hallucinations.

Research Snapshot: Canadian Prescribing Guidelines for Opioid Agonist Treatment Resulting in Inequitable Access
Researchers conducted a study to compare the different opioid agonist treatment (OAT) guidelines and patient characteristics that might influence a prescriber’s decision to give out take-home doses (THD). The study was a systematic review of the published research comparing access to THD, as well as of all Canadian national and provincial OAT guidelines. The researchers found that current OAT guidelines likely contribute to inequitable THD access.

Well-Being in Later Life

The Understanding Mental Health and Well-Being in Later Life workshop series consists of mental health and addiction programming for older adults (65+) on how to improve their mental health, spot the signs and symptoms of mental illness and addiction, and learn where to go for help in their communities.

The workshop series is available for organizations to access and offer to older adults in their local communities.
